Dhurmus Suntali foundation in coordination with government, community and private sectors have planned to build multi-purpose cricket stadium in Chitwan solely through fund generated from donations.
Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation is a foundation led by famous comedian duo Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali). The foundation has won hearts of many Nepalese at home and abroad after the construction of four different integrated modular homes after the devastating earthquake of April 2015 through donations. Initially it was a Nepalese charity for victims of 2015 earthquakes in Nepal but now it has been working on other social welfare activities.

Nepal got membership of International Cricket Council on 1988. After 30 years Nepal was permitted to one day cricket. With initiation of one day cricket, Nepali cricket has started new beginning, opportunities and challenges. Nepal got victory on T20 world cup which is a very big achievement for Nepali cricket team and was the milestone for future.
With this achievement and future of cricket in Nepal, Dhurmus Suntali foundation in coordination with government, community and private sectors have planned to build multi-purpose cricket stadium in Chitwan solely through fund generated from donations. This has been named “Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium” which also disseminates the message “Buddha was born in Nepal”. The stadium is planned to be built at Chitwan, Nepal and the construction will be completed by 2021.
